BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin Church, Cossington

Over the South porch. Hour lines are marked from 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hour intervals. The gnomon has an S shaped support. The word ’Savery’, in italics, appears at the top but it is uncertain whether this is a motto, a maker’s name or a donor’s name. This dial may be a replacement for an earlier one.
