BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Motto reads: "Tempus Fugit" across top. Date and initials in centre of dial possibly surrounded by a circle and possibly by further small text? Initials are E.H. and may be maker or C/Warden, or ’East Horndon’. Some hour lines and parts of numerals visible. Shows 6am to 6pm (Roman) in half and quarter hours. Iron strip gnomon with curly supporter. White stone dialplate inset into brick wall of S transept and held by four cleats. Date might be 1758.
Church now redundant and is located on north side of the A127.
