BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Derbyshire

The dial is to the west of the church. It shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. The latter marking is achieved by a separate offset quarter hour scale. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside the dial. Hour lines drawn to a circle at gnomon root. Noon gap. Sigmoidal gnomon. Four hole fixing. Maker’s name and possibly a date appear at the southern end but are not recorded. Set on a square section column with square capital and large 3 step circular base.
