BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

The dial was rescued from a rubbish dump in Ballygowan, N Ireland. Tne gnomon is missing. Hour numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from he outside, with split noon, and divided to 30, 15 and 3 minutes. 8-point compass rose labelled to NE etc. ’James Walsh Sculptor’ can just be read at the south, but it is not centralised. ’185’ is engraved on the back.
