BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Pencarrow House (1), Washaway

In the garden to the south of the house is an 18th century bronze horizontal dial by Heath and Wing of London who were in business from 1751 to 1773. It is thought to have been brought here from Clowance House (near Camborne) and shows the customary hours IV-VIII subdivided into halves and quarters with periods of 10 and 1 minute. City names round the dial indicate the time of noon at these places compared with local time. There is a 32-point compass rose and an Equation of Time scale.
