BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Manor House (1), Sulgrave

The dial stands in a box-hedge garden to the east side of the Manor. It is set on a circular section baluster pedestal with square capital and plinth, but is 180 degrees out of alignment. The dial is dated 1579 on the south side. It has a Tudor Rose in the centre, and there is an outline dog motif at south end with initials GN. It shows 4am to 8pm in hours and half hours, using XII and IIII, the numerals being read from inside the dial. A horizon line is drawn across the centre. The gnomon has a knife-edge style. The dial is mounted over a presentation plate inscribed: "Presented to Sulgrave Manor by his wife and daughter in memory of Gilmer S Adams President of the National Society of Colonial Wars in the Commonweath of Kentucky 1925".
