BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Aynho

Unusual church architecture presumably connected with the nearby manor. Worn sandstone dial plate inset into a cavity over the south door shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses IIII. Black letters on stone. No split substyle. Lines and numerals barely visible. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Iron strip gnomon with horizontal supporter having an unusual circular drip feature near where it meets the gnomon proper. Dial thought to be be installed in 1895 by Cartwright family. Size also estd at 610 x 460. Compare SRN 4840 with a very similar gnomon.
