BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

Motto reads: "Ab hoc momento pendet aeternitas". This on stone capital surrounding the dial. 16pt Comp with alternate pattering, dog tooth border. EoT Watch faster/slower ring. Shows 4am to 8pm (scales extend beyond) in 30, 10, 5 and 1 min marks. Numerals read from outside the chapter ring. Uses XII and IIII. Inward and outward lozenge ended half hour markers. Highly unusual square section pierced heart shape pedestal with upturned fleur de lys décor and large circular capital and square base. This dial is on private business property.
