BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Monkton Hall, Monkton

The circular dial is on the wall, facing the road. It is painted in light and dark blue, with a brass gnomon. The motto across the top reads: ’U I HORA / Sic Vita Iranis’ (presumably for ’Ut Hora Sic Vita Transit’). Hours VI - XII - IV - VI, with no subdivisions. The date 1773 is across the root of the gnomon. Details are from internet photos. More info and photos requested.
