BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

The dial is mounted over the entrance to the dining hall, opposite the library. It shows 6am to 4pm in hours. Scroll gnomon supporter. Surrounded by elaborate pattern. C Knight & L Ginett were responsible for sculptures etc in the building are believed to be the originators of the dial. Date of 1930 is likely. Photograph requested.
