BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Day Centre, Falmouth

Above the main door of the building, this dial declines a few degrees east. It is made of copper and has upright Arabic numerals 6am to 5pm, with full length hour lines and shorter half and quarter hour lines. Outer end of gnomon is now slightly bent. The dial plate is set in one of a pair of terracotta panels sculpted by G Frampton, RA (1860-1928). Father Time, with sickle, leans over the dial, and a boat sails on stormy seas above. The right hand panel depicts the Falmouth coat of arms, with masks of comedy and tragedy. The building is dated 1893 and was once the Falmouth Cottage Hospital. It was funded and opened by the philanthropist, John Passmore Edwards in 1894.
