BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

The dial is on the east side of the house. An inscription reads: ".. the time of the .. places .. in this circle .. the time past Kabul Bombay Calcutta Madras Nagdad Chile". The dial shows 4am to 8pm in intervals possibly down to 1 min. It stands on a granite pedestal 5ft 6ins high for the convenience of horse back riders. The house was visited frequently by the author Mary Wesley.
