BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Sussex (E)

Mottoes read: "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi", "Horas Non numero nisi serenas". 32 place names on the west side; 33 on the east. The main dial shows 3.30 - 8.30 in 5 min intervals, and subsidiary dials show 15 min intervals. On a square topped circular stone plinth 1092h with Inscription giving installation as 1876. Like SRN 3502 and 3016. Best engraving of all. Restored by Harriet James.
