BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Friends’ Meeting House, St Helens

Church Street is a pedestrianised area within the bustling town of St Helens, so there will be time to stand and stare at this restored vertical south dial. It was made originally in 1763, of stone with an iron gnomon, and is of striking size at 1200 x 1200 mm. It was restored in 1995.
