BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is on the east path to the south of the house, and stands on an octagonal stone two level pedestal 650h which incorporates a seat, with panels in the upper section possibly painted. The gardens are open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Bank Holidays. The dial is signed ’Berge / LONDON’. It uses hour numerals IIII-XII - IIII - VIII, with a noon gap, read from the outside and divided to 30, 10 and 2 minutes. Outside the main chapter ring, twenty minute marks are labelled in Arabic numerals. At the centre is a 16-point compass rose labelled to NNE etc. The gnomon angle is 54 degs. The house was begun about 1805.
