BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist Parish Church, Tisbury

The dial is high on the gable. The motto reads: "HORA PARS VITAE", [The Hour is a part of Life], across the top of the dial. Date in the dial centre is 1762. Stone slab set in wall, proud and slightly canted to West, not flush. Shows 5am to 4pm in half and quarter hours. Three dot motif marks inward pointing half-hour lines. Unusual ’arch’ pattern below semicircle frames the date. Strip gnomon with one supporter, possible split sub-style. Dial thought to date from rebuilding of tower 1762. A well made dial.
