BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Cathedral, Lincoln

On butress in the south transept. Motto reads: "Pereunt et imputantur" [They pass by and are reckoned’], set in scroll at top. Dial has black painted furniture on stone with a scalloped inner edge to sheet strip gnomon and Arabic numerals. Shows 6am to 10am with an unumbered line at 11am and possibly 5am too. Shows half hours. One leg loose. Dial rather eroded. Conservation being considered in 2002. Condition Report in BSS Library. (Reported as recently restored in Sept 2008.) Ref Gatty (1900) No 133.
