BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Inscripton reads: "Broomfield Hospital 1994". Analemma along noon line. Gnomon has a notch nodus. Declination lines for Dec25, Jan 22/Nov 21, Feb 22/Oct 21, March 21/Sept 25, April 22/Aug 22, May 22/July 23 and June 21. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Elaborate carved (reconstituted) stone pedestal with squirrels and birds, 1.5m high with octagonal capital and square plinth. Equation of Time (EoT) graph at north side. Located in rose garden.
