BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

20 Church Street, Sheffield

A stone and copper vertical dial on the SW corner of the building. The motto below in a scroll reads: "Tempus Fugit". Declines approx 9 deg west, but gnomon lies along the noon line. Is it perhaps folded to the east to give a correct substyle line, which would be at about 12:45pm? Upright numerals VII - XII - IV - VI, with no hour lines or subdivisions. Condition in 1994 was excellent, also in 2010.
