BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hampshire

The dial stands above the ha-ha in the park. It is very worn, but uses Roman numerals read from the outside, and has an 8-point compass rose at the centre. Ref: Gilbert White’s "Naturalists Journal", Feb 27,1781;27 Oct,1788; 29 Oct,1788
