BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John’s Church, Bishopstone

The dial is on the south wall of the Porch. It has lost its original gnomon though the supporting holes are still present. A ’mass dial’ type horizontal gnomon has been fitted 3/4 of the way up the noon line. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. It is thought the dial should decline 5degs E since a compass shows this declination of the wall.
