BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Pump Room, Bath

The dial is above the Roman Baths. Triangular sheet gnomon with fimbriated back edge. Four gnomon supports. N-S line bisects the sides. All main engraving oriented inwards. 8-point compass rose labelled to NE etc. Aligned Roman numerals with Noon marked as XII and 4pm as IIII, with noon gap. Inner band to 1/4 hours. Outer to 1 minute (10s numbered outwards in Arabic) with fleur-de-lys half hours. On a new Bath stone pedestal, square section with inverse taper, standing on a ledge outside the window, about the Roman bath. Was lost at one time but was recovered in 1971.
