BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial House, Bishops Stortford

Motto reads: ’Let others tell of storms and showers, I’ll only count your sunny hours’. This carved into all of the brick of the gable. The dial is in a brick inset in the centre. Shows 8am to 4pm in hours. Rod gnomon and supporter, white painted but with some rust staining. Hour lines visible but they may not converge on gnomon root. Brickwork protective pediment set above dial.
