BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

This is an excellent modern memorial dial. It shows 6am to 6pm in 30, 15 and 5 minute marks. All inscriptions are read from the north. There are full length hour and half hour lines within the seven declination lines, and an analemma at noon, and a noon gap. The gnomon, with a notch nodus, has a scroll supporter offset to south edge of dialplate, where it stands neatly over the EoT graph. The dial is a memorial to Richard and Olive Giddings.
