BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Near the South door of the church is a brass horizontal sundial made in the 18th century by Tho. Wright of London The dial plate is 178mm square and has a compass rose in the centre. Wright was a notable instrument maker who held a royal appointment to George II.
