BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Grantley Hall, Ripon

This is a very traditional plain dial, standing on a substantial stone hexagonal pedestal, 1500 high, in the garden to the rear of the hall. It has Roman numerals for 4am to 8pm, divided to 30, 15, 10 and 5 minute intervals, with no other furniture.
