BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is over the porch door on the south side of the church. The rectangular (portrait format) dial is set in a stone frame on the knapped flint wall.
The full length hour lines which are drawn from gnomon root to dial-plate edge were infilled (possibly black) as were the small numerals set to the side of the hour lines. The Roman numerals, read from below, show 6am to 6pm in hours with XII for noon and IIII for 4pm.
The metal gnomon has a floral gnomon supporter.
The substantial space at top of dial-plate may have contained a motto or inscription.
