BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Shakespeare Birthplace Garden, Stratford-upon-Avon

The dial was a gift from Mrs M Marshall in memory of her father who had been a trustee of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and an inscription on the base reads: "Remember Alderman Leigh Dingley 1896-1970, a trustee of Shakespeare Birthplace". A motto on the pedestal reads: "THE SUN WITH ONE EYE VIEWETH ALL THE WORLD". The dial is a truncated crescent in shape. Hour numerals are VI - XII - IV - VI, with no subdivisions.
