BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rose Cottage, Chilmark

Located on the south wall over the door. A motto across the top read: ’Sic Vita’ (Transit?) but is not no (2004) readable. The dial declines 18 degrees W and shows 8am to 7pm in half and quarter hours, using IIII for 4pm Simple iron bar gnomon and supporter.
