BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is located at the far end of the rear lawn. It has aligned hour numerals read from outside, V - XII - VII with split noon, divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes, and to 1 minute. The solid gnomon has side supports. There is an inscribed compass rose with four quadrant degree scales (0 - 90) in 10 degree intervals, then single degree divisions on another unexplained scale. The dial is mounted on a circular sectioned baluster style plinth with acanthus leaf ornamentation at the upper part. The whole stands on a tiered square base, which also supports a figure of Father Time who leans over the dial, reported as sculpted by Rysbeck in 1718, though the guide book attributes it to van Nost, c 1715.
