BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lancashire

The comparatively recent date of 1981 for this horizontal dial in the churchyard suggests that it was a replacement for an earlier dial. It bears the motto: "Tyme Flyes" and is carried on an elegant stone plinth, which widens at the top to hold the 175 mm diameter brass dial.
