BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Nicholas Church, Newchurch

The church has two dials, this one high on the external wall of the nave and another in the churchyard, SRN 2374. This dial itself is similar to SRN 2372 and may have been produced by the same maker, Warburton. The motto is sadly weathered but may have read: ’Moneo Dum Moveo’ (I warn whilst I move). The latitude 53 34 and the year, 1827, are also recorded.
