BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St James’ Church, Haslingden

The dial is mounted on the southern wall of the church nave. It is 500 mm square and in poor condition, with a cracked stone face and missing gnomon. Its motto probably reads: ’Vive memor lethi’ (Live mindful of death).
