BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Parish Church (1), Westwell

Saxon dial above the door inside the porch. The dial consists of an inscribed semicircle of approx 300mm dia. There are 7 or 8 radial lines, with faint cross-bars close to the circumference. In the centre is a hole for a horizontal gnomon. The dial is difficult to photograph. Note that the church is north west of the war memorial, in the centre of the village. Its core is Romanesque but the porch is medieval. Note also dial SRC 2339 above the porch.
