BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John’s Hospital almshouses, Heytesbury

The dial is on the south wall of the eastern wing, above the central bay. It declines approximately 4 degrees E. The motto reads: ’Tempus Fugit’. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours, using Arabic numerals. That for 6am is at right angles to top left edge, those for 7-11am parallel to bottom left edge and 1-7pm parallel to bottom right edge. 12 Noon in lower apex. Hour and half-hour full lines. Sheet gnomon with scalloped underedge. Semi sun at gnomon origin.
