BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Henley Hall, Ludlow

A richly embellished stained glass sundial, declining west. Unsigned and undated, but attributed to Charles E Kempe, who supplied stained glass for Henley Hall. In the lower section of the oval panel, below the dial, is inscribed: ’Make time - save time / while time lasts. / All time is no time / when time is past.’ Henley Hall is now a Wedding Venue. Ref: Clocks Magazine,10,10, p30,1988. Ref: Gatty 1900, Addenda: ’This motto has been chosen by J B Wood Esq, for a window dial which he is erecting in Henley Hall, Ludlow.’ Note there is a Feb 2000 National Heritage report for a cube dial also at Henley Hall, List Entry Number 1383673.
