BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Botolph’s Parish Church, Lullingstone

The church is in the grounds of Lullingstone Castle. The motto reads: ’Aspice me ut Aspiciar’ (Look on me that I may be looked on). There is a large sun at the top centre of the dial, which forms upper half of a window, and a ship on a stormy sea beneath. Notice the fly motif (time flies). The gnomon is now missing. Compare the 20th century dial SRN 4119 at the Merchant Adventurers Hall in York.
