BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

The dial is set in the top pane of the south-east ground floor window. The motto reads: "Umbrae Sumus". An additional scale shows the time in Constantinople (offset 2.25 hrs from main scale) and has Arabic numerals. Ref: C Daniel, Clocks Magazine,10,10, p30,1988.
