BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bedford School, Bedford

Open dial, formed of two concentric surrounding circles. Aligned Arabic hour numerals 2 - 9, with hour lines and half hour marks. Sun symbol at upper gnomon support. Moon, planet and star symbols in the evening section, beyond 9pm. Dial mounted over a circular window aperture. A clock is similarly mounted at the other end of the building, adding symmetry.
