BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is in the churchyard to the east of the church. It stands on a pedestal 1100 high and square in section, and slightly expanded to the top and bottom. There are three steps to the base on both north and south sides. The plate is very oxidised but the maker’s name is readable with difficulty, and the latitude is marked on the south side. No other furniture was readable.
