BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Antony’s College, Oxford

On the front lawn of the college is a stone horizontal dial 995mm in diameter. It shows the hours V - VII divided into halves and quarters. The gnomon is of brass. The dial has the motto ’ Horas non numero nisi serenas’ (I count the bright hours only’). Round the vertical rim is recorded the fact that this is a memorial dial given by Mrs Sylvia Platt in memory of her husband Christopher Platt 1934-1989.
