BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sts Peter & Paul Church, Stokesley

The dial which declines 18 degrees East has the motto "Hora Pars Vitae". Shows 6am to 4pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Black infilled lettering on slate ground. Open nearly triangular bar gnomon, surface mounted. Dial inset in wooden surround and held to wall by five cleats. (NB Original sighting at Parish Church in centre of this town suggested that the dial was dated 1877 and was of enamelled metal. It is assumed that this was an error and is therefore attached to the above. Any correction to this would be welcomed)
