BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

The dial was discovered by Sir G White, (Pypers, Rudgeway nr Bristol, BS12 2SQ), when the stone fell out of a wall. It has been well restored with 4 gnomons and white numerals. Marks half hours. SE face shows 4-11am, SW 1-8pm, NW 4-8pm, NE 4-8am. The dial now stands on the South Garden Wall. Personal correspondence.
