BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northumberland

The dial stands on a cylindrical pillar about 1200 high. It was brought to Callaly in 1903 from Canterbury, Kent. It is a facetted-head lectern-type dial, with hemi-cylinders, equatorial and polar dials, no hollows. On the top equatorial surface is a 2-faced head of a bearded man (facing north and south) bearing a spherical dial on his head. Dials are marked for many places around the world.
