BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wesleyan Chapel, Bielby

(Location now a house). Mottoes read: "Soli Deo Omnis Gloria!" and partly from Psalms; "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for on thine eyelids is the shadow of death". Shows 10am to 9pm in 30,15, and 5 min intervals. Inward pointing arrow heads mark half hour lines. Those before 1.30 are not placed at line ends. Black lines and Nos on beige stone/stucco. Long marked ’N’ instead of ’W’. Circular roundel in centre declares the maker and date. See also SRN 3436, Middlesbrough, N Yorkshire, by the same maker. Visible from road.
