BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

A simple but attractive dial. Upright Arabic hour numerals for 6am to 6pm, divided to half hours. Lobate foliage carving around the gnomon root, a little over half a circle. The gnomon is missing. An extension to School has necessitated dial being kept in store. RS has offered (2006) to advise re re-siting.
