BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

Inscr reads: "Tho Onians & Rob Hakin Churchwarden". Dial plate split at former fixings. Numerous unused fixing holes. Gnomon foot strengthener extends full length. Pierced gnomon with scroll & tendrils. Floral engraving around gnomon root. Single time ring inside Chapter ring. Shows 4am to 8pm in 7.5, 15 and 30 min intervals. Star markers between numerals, half hour lines have triple dot motif. Set on cast iron fluted pillar 1310h on two step circular plinth 1060 & 1600 diam.
