BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sts Mary & Margaret’s Church, Castle Bromwich

On the church tower is a painted sandstone dial which declines 10° East and shows the hours VII - V divided into halves and quarters. The iron gnomon has an unusual lateral supporter. The church, which was built in 1731, is actually a brick shell surrounding a much earlier timber-framed building. The dial may well date from the time when the present church was built. It was restored in 1988, by Christopher Daniel in association with Hesp & Jones.
