BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Close, Girton

Nothing is known about the age or the creator of this vertical dial; it is in good condition, the slate surface making a pleasing contrast with the brick wall which carries it. The numerals are elegantly engraved and a declination of 25 degrees to the west lends the dial a pleasingly asymmetrical form.
