BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hampton Court (2), Richmond

Original gnomon restored by Plowden & Smith in 1988 from design by C St J H Daniel. Planispheric projection and two EoT tables and some illegible inscriptions. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10, 5, 3, 2, 1 mins. Marble pedestal on slate plinth on York stone base. 1328h. He dial is now in store. A replica (SRN 6163, possibly by Plowden & Smith) is outside (May 2005) but has no engraving since money ran out!
